SONIC TALES

This show will premiere on March 8th 2009 at the Moore Theater in Seattle. This is a large scale music/dance/live music and video production. Current collaborators include Pol Rosenthal (text), Jeff Huston (music), Haruko Nishimura (dance), Leo Mayberry (video). NEW ALBUM

Starting June1st we will begin production on a new album produced by audio madman Robb Kunz - producer of our last album “cuckoo crow”. Look here for little studio bites, and thoughts by the team. Collaborators on this project include Robb Kunz (producer), Jeff Huston (music), Haruko Nishimura (vocals), Joshua Kohl (music), Jherek Bischoff (who knows), Sam Mickens (song) and a whole hell of a bunch of others. Guests include Monica Schley (harp), Alex Guy (viola), Paris Hurley (violin) and more…

FILM PROJECT

Although not a Degenerate Art Ensemble project, this film project involves some of DAE’s key members - so we figured we’d blog it here. This is a super exciting short film that will be finished in the Fall of ‘08. Here you will find production notes and stories, pre-production video clips and stills and more. This project is a collaboration between Haruko Nishimura (dance), Ian Lucero (video) and Mandy Greer (design).
